We are finally finished with our big Expansion!
It was a long road to getting the addition finished, but now that it is completed, we have SO MUCH MORE ROOM FOR OUR PATIENTS!
First, we outgrew the former Coudersport Animal Health Center, which was located on Kio Road, just off of Route 872. To remedy this, Dr. Lindsay bought and converted a residence into a clinic in 2015 and we moved the practice to downtown Coudersport in January of 2016.
Before long, the walls started closing in again! As our client base grew and grew, Dr. Lindsay realized that we needed to expand… again. And this time she was going BIG, in the hopes that it will be our final expansion. She bought the property next door, and with the help of her dear, late father, demolished the existing house and leveled the lot. Then she hired a construction crew and put a 60′ by 100′ addition onto the side of the existing clinic. It was a long, trying process, but the end result is SO worth it.
This expansion has added a new O.R., a surgical prep room, a brand new treatment room, a designated isolation ward, a grooming suite, a comfort room, an enlarged laboratory and pharmacy, 9 new exam rooms, much-needed storage, a separated imaging room, separate waiting rooms for dogs and cats, and separate kennels for dogs and cats to our formerly compact hospital. Not to mention a heated garage to bring in large animals when needed. Now we have room to breathe! And we are one step closer to being fear-free! We strive to provide the most comfortable experience possible for all of our patients, which is why we’ve segregated cats from dogs. This should reduce the already stressful event of coming to the vet for our lovely feline patients. We are extremely excited about offering grooming services at our hospital now too! If you haven’t already, give us a call to get your cat or dog set up for a spa day in our brand-new grooming suite!
